Interstate Fire & Safety has been serving the Fire Protection Industry since 1951. The Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning of ventilation systems for cooking media is one of the divisions of Interstate Fire & Safety, that has been serving the industry and leads by training, public awareness and raising the standards of the industry.
Our Kitchen Exhaust Cleaning program includes cleaning of all the parts of your ventilation system for the cooking media, the exhaust hood, filters, ductwork, fans and removal and re-installation of access doors for proper inspection and kitchen exhaust cleaning. During the cleaning process, our trained staff will cover your cooking appliances to protect them from the grease and carbons being removed from your system. When all the system service is complete, all stainless steel surfaces are polished and a certificate of performance is attached to the hood. Please note Interstate Fire & Safety follows national standards as well as being a drug free work environment.
Our technicians will also photograph your job site before, during and after completion of the work. The pictures on this page are from actual customer locations. The photograph on the bottom left shows the bottom of an up blast fan before it was serviced by Interstate Fire & Safety. The photograph on the bottom right shows the cleaned fan, you can see that through the use of our high pressure, high temperature steam cleaning machines, the system was cleaned to a level better than that required by the N.F.P.A. 96 requirement.

EMERGENCY EXIT LIGHTING PRODUCTS AND SERVICE
The N.F.P.A. 101 requires battery operated emergency lights to be tested for a minimum of 30 seconds each month and for 90 minutes each year.
